BUCKLIN, KS, DECEMBER 30, 1997-- Here seemed to be the heart of the recent snowfall. None of the inhabitants appeared to be too put out by it but Highway 54 had been closed down during the storm. All along this stretch of the highway were indications of vehicles having driven off the road. There were even some vehicles that remained in the ditch.
